Lanvin


1920’s rebirth. Inspired by the 1920’s lifestyle and elegance, designer Bruno Sialelli brings that decade back to life in this collection in collaboration with Art Deco illustrator Erté. Influenced by architecture and other cultural references, Sialelli births this very cosmopolitan, glamorous and cinematic collection.










Dior


Kim Jones has taken the creative reins the Dior house in the most grandiose way for the past few years and this time Jones gives us an upscale, renewed youthful couture approach to menswear. In collaboration with artist Amoako Boafo, Jones brings artistry to a new level by implementing Boafo’s art into fashion, grabbing inspiration from his own african roots and the artisanship of couture, Jones brings menswear to a new level of luxury.














Palomo Spain


21st century Marie Antoinette. Gender fluid - androgynous garments is what Palomo has to offer for Spring 2021, in light of the global pandemic going on, Palomo was inspired by the little things in nature and sexuality. “The Rehearsal” is what Palomo entitled the collection, “it’s rehearsing a situation in which we don’t know what’s going to happen and what’s going to work. We don’t even know if it’s spring ’21 because we don’t know what spring ’21 is going to be like. So we did it for the pleasure of making a beautiful collection and for the spring that we did not have this year.”

Welldone indeed. A minimal collection with clean cuts and a very pleasing luxurious aesthetic. Simple yet well executed pieces with beautiful craftsmanship detailing.










Hermès


Summer blues. A variety of blues, grays, nudes and earthy tones is the color palette for Hermès, where a fresh, crisp look is the predominant statement. Minimal clean cut, loose fitting pieces evoke the summer blues, whilst perfectly tailored, youthful jackets remind is of a 













JW Anderson


Layers, patchwork, asymmetry, big pockets and graphic prints are the most evident elements on Anderson’s spring collection. Hints of asian influencers are present on the garments that include, military parkas, asymmetric printed shirts and coats with big pockets, not to mention long sleeved knitted sweaters, undershirts and mesh-like coats.

Free spirited, youthful summer. A collaborative collection inspired by other artists, natue, technology and the hope of togetherness. “This moment is about the idea of rebirth. Minimalism at it finest. Miuccia Prada reflects on fashion true calling for the community and delivers a simple and elegant collection, regal pieces that embody the true spirit of 90’s minimalism.














Dolce & Gabbana


Where tradition meets the modern era. Domenico Dolce & Steffano Gabbana once again pushed the boundaries to what fashion has to offer to a saturated market by bringing a new meaning to classic Italian elements. This collection inspired by Ponti, where the architectural Mediterranean elements clash into fabrics to bring this collection to life. Patchwork, patterns, knits, layers and an overall minimalist approach with the classic opulence and elegance that’s D&G’s signature. 












Ermenegildo Zegna


Nature, Man, Machine. This season Zegna is all about lightness, different propositions, blends of sustainable fabrics and sportswear. A collection inspired by nature and meant to be timeless, offering the wearer pieces for seasons to come, taking to account the environment and the proper use use machinery and tailoring techniques that give the pieces a unique feel and composition. Truly contemporary, modern and simply brilliant, this collection marks the timeline for Zegna’s reinvention. 
















Etro


The first physical show to be held in Milan at the four season hotel in the middle of the pandemic, that’s how many will remember this show, but it was so much more than that, Etro had much to offer with this collection. Taking sustainability into account, Etro is yet another brand that’s implementing the use of sustainable fabrics and artisan elements into their pieces. This collection was a tribute to the wanderlust spirits, inspired by collectivity, differences cultures and travel, Etro offers a bohemian, multi colored and patterned collection. 












Jacquemus


Back to basics. Jaquemus explores tradition, “A celebration of love.”, capturing a moment in time with provincial elements from the south of France. Sun kissed, washed down tones, some with artistic paint strokes and cuts, loose shirts, cargo pants and sandals 



















Jil Sander


Reinventing the essentials. Taking menswear tailoring to a new level, the two creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier bring soft, subtle changes to the classic rigidness of menswear, relaxing the harsh lines with tailoring techniques that give the garments a friendlier approach. A beautiful minimalist collection that brings the best of menswear tailoring techniques.

  Se podría decir fue fue la Paris Hilton de los 60’s, Edie Sedgwick fue una famosa actriz y modelo durante los años 60, aunque fue mayormente conocida por sus excesos, Edie tenía problemas de adicción a drogas, alcohol, barbitúricos, entre otras medicinas prescritas. Fue su amistad con el famoso artista Andy Warhol, quien fue el mayor representante del movimiento conocido como “Pop Art”, lo que llevo a Eddie al estrellato. Se conocieron en el 65 en el famoso estudio de Warhol “The Factory” que era el lugar preferido de artistas, señoritas de sociedad rbeldes, y famosos de la época. Cuando Warhol vio a Sedgwick este quedo impactado con su belleza y se propuso convertirla en su primer “Superestrella”. This past Wednesday, November 16, I attended the RosylxPepe Classic Denim Collection Launch event at Mall Multiplaza in Tegucigalpa. Lovely and always charming Rosyl Mejia showcased her latest collaboration with Pepe Jeans Revolution on a Denim runway display. 

Cinefilia: Cuentos y Leyendas de Honduras

Hola sappers! Espero que hayan tenido una excelente semana, ya ah llegado el viernes y es tiempo de relajarnos y despejarnos un poco, así que hoy quiero hacerles una propuesta para este fin de semana. El pasado miércoles   22 de octubre tuve el privilegio de asistir a la tan anticipada premier de la película Cuentos y Leyendas de Honduras, una producción 100% Hondureña que después de lo que pareció una larga espera, finalmente ha llegado a las salas de cine de toda Honduras. Junto a Cinthia Moncada ("Marina") y el Blogger Jeyson Garcia
