The concept for this season was inspired by “Théâtre de la Mode”, an exhibition showcased in the Louvre in 1945 after world war II, were a number of different french designers displayed doll sized dresses that later on toured the world. The collection was introduced by a short film by the Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone. A fourteen minute surrealist, fairy tale like video titled “Le Mythe Dior”, were we see two couriers carrying a small doll house filled with doll mannequin wearing replicas of the dresses that are being created in the real couture atelier to bring them to life for the nymph like humans scattered along the woods.   The tulle embroidered gowns, pleated chiffon and meticulously patch worked pastel lace designs are breathtaking, you can see in some of them a slight 50’s-60’s retro glam references and others with s...
