There are a few series coming up to Netflix this month and I am really looking forward for them. Just by watching the trailers, this upcoming series look very promising and quite exiting. Four of them are new comers and the other one is a long awaited come back.
Let’s start we the new ones, shall we.
The first one, and possibly the one I’m most exited about, is called “White Lines”. Coming up this Friday, may 15th, this very suggestive tittle and artwork drew my attention in immediately. From creator and producer Alex Pina (you may remember him for Netflix original series “Money Heist”), this series looks like a joy ride. Judging from the two minute trailer, the show looks action packed and most definitely very promising, as expected from Pina, who comes back to the platform after his huge success with “La Casa De Papel”, only this time with a series in the English language.
Here’s Netflix’s description for the show and the trailer:
Zoe Walker leaves her quiet life behind to investigate her brother's disappearance in Ibiza, where she quickly heads down a decadent and dangerous path.
Secondly, comes a french production by the name of “Inhuman Resources” (original tittle “ Dérapage”). Also premiering this Friday, may 15th, this series plot, classified as a thriller by Netflix, looks very interesting, emotional and yes, quite thrilling not to mention beautifully shot. It tells the story of a middle aged man who under the pressure of economic struggles, sees himself involved in a compromising situation.
Here’s Netflix’s description and trailer:
Alain Delambre, unemployed and 57, is lured by an attractive job opening. But things get ugly when he realizes he’s a pawn in a cruel corporate game
Third, we have the long awaited and much anticipated come back of “Dynasty”, which will be available on may 23rd. Must of you might be familiar already with this complicated and out of sorts, functionally, dis functional family, whose members are coming back this month for a third time to entertaining us with their drama.
*No trailer available*
Forth, is non other than “Space force”, available on may 29th. A comedy series with a stellar cast, that includes: Steve Carrell, Lisa Kudrow & John Malkovich, amongst other familiar faces from the comedy scene. From the creators of “The Office”, Space force is set to become one of Netflix,s hits. With a unique sense of humor and a beloved and brilliant cast, there is no doubt that Space Force will be the talk of town for days to come.
Here’s Netflix’s description and the trailer:
A four-star general begrudgingly teams up with an eccentric scientist to get the U.S. military's newest agency — Space Force — ready for lift-off.
And last but not least we have “Control Z”, a mexican, soapy like teenage drama coming up on may 22nd, that involves important topics such as transgender identity, transphobia and LGBTQ+ topics overall. Judging from the trailer the whole show is set from a particular girl’s point of view, and she appears to have a “sixth sense” for things. The shows looks action filled and quite the drama.
Here’s Netflix’s description and trailer:
When a hacker begins releasing students' secrets to the entire high school, the socially isolated but observant Sofía works to uncover his/her identity.
