Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2014 New York Mercedes Benz Fashion Week NYMBFW

Victoria Beckham does not disappoint, once again the fabulous Posh gives us another unique, chic collection. For us the lovers of simplicity, this is heaven! Victoria yet again delivers gorgeous ensembles with very simple yet intricate cuts and details like golden chains and sheer, and this time she is a little more playful in her designs, adding voluminous details to some of her garments, and some other she gives a Van Gogh kinda touch, with tri-colored prints.

A Sweet Escape

Paris Fashion Week (PFW) Haute Couture

Remember the days when couture meant very extravagant, practically non wearable, super avant-garde garments? …Ah the good all days… well those days are gone! I won’t lie I’m a little sad because during the old couture shows you got to see what was really inside the designers heads. Now given the commercialism and all that, design houses have to think more of what would sell rather than go overboard with extreme creativity, that being said I made a compilation of my four favorite collections, so let’s move on.   Before we start keep in mind that the focus of my blog is simplicity, right, so…  I was gladly surprised by the simplicity shown at this year’s mayor design houses couture shows, first of is no other then: Valentino PFW Haute Couture Spring/Summer '14 I don’t even know where to start, valentino show cased a beautiful minimal collection with very interesting details, like a very strong presence of the animal kingdom, he went from ballerina like short tutu dres...

56th Grammy Awards

The 56th Grammy award gala took place this past Sunday at the staple center, it was a little boring fashion wise, there were not fun fashion risks in the red carpet, musicians went full glam!, and others went… well to the other side… The colors trend has made its way to the Grammys, most of the ladies wore golden shimmering dresses, red body hugging gowns, blue ensembles or a very glamorous white gown. Golden Goddess As much as I “dislike” Taylor Swift, I have to say she looked pretty good in that Gucci golden metallic dress she was by far one of my favorites in this event, but I still “dislike” her very much to say the least. Let’s move on to Sports Illustrated model Christine Teigan, she totally rocked that Johanna Johnson sequin golden strapless gown, she looked stunning! Sreen Actors Guild Awards 2014

Hello everyone! So the SAG Awards took place this past weekend, for those of you who do not know what the SAG’s are here’s a little history. SAG stands for Screen Actors Guild Awards, it started in 1995. This honor is given by the SAG-AFTRA which is the association of journalist, actors, dancers and other media professionals which are chosen randomly every year to nominate and pick the winners for that year recognition. Enough history, if you guys want to find out more about the SAG’s history go to: www.sagawards.org Now let’s get to what we are here for… Fashion!   So contrary from the golden globes I saw a lot of variety on the red carpet, from colors, to shapes, fabrics and styling. Although the simplicity that has been showing on previews red carpet events keeps on popping (thank God!) For the sake of that simplicity I’ve narrowed it down to only a few looks (my favorite of course). note that I don’t talk about “the worst dressed”, I believe everyone has their own ...
