A long time coming…
I’ve been meaning to go to Guatemala fashion week for quite some time now, but for some reason or another I didn’t get to go until this year, which is just a bit funny with the pandemic and everything going on, but I am Infinitely grateful that I finally got to go and live that experience.
It was important for me to make a statement on the 1st day of fashion week, I wanted to be bold and comfortable and wear something that was very me. This outfit was inspired by Jared Leto’s latest red carpet looks for the premiere of the “House of Gucci” movie. I felt very comfortable in this look, wearing a double breasted, striped, navy blue vintage Armani Blazzer, paired with low waisted black, slim fit vintage Armani Pants. To bring it all to the modern age I decided to wear white sneakers (from Pull and Bear). Also in the spirit of a modern feel, I decided not to wear a shirt with this look, wearing only the blazzer with a beautiful pearls and golden “Gucci” threaded necklace made by Roatan jewelry designer “Giulia Bohemian”, that gave the entire look a lift and a youthful appearance. This was also the very first time I’ve worn my hair like this at and event and I was feeling very confident and empowered.
It felt good to be approached by several people to compliment my look during the event, I felt seen (in a good way), it was all very special and I felt very much appreciative for the entire experience.
There’s more to come on the shows, so stay tuned!
