Both designers agreed on one word for the creation of this collection "essentials", Exploring several influences and keeping in mind a collective narrative for the audience, the collection marries the classic Prada offset and silhouette with a contemporary twist that explores a timeless, atemporal concept depicted on to the pieces.
Reconstructed and re-imagined 40's, 60's, 90's and menswear elements and silhouettes, tailored for the modern woman. Monochromatic outfits and expensive fabrics to evoke the classic Prada essence. Modern graphic patterns, pints and cutouts as well the statement wrap that was first introduced back in January with the menswear collection, showing the pieces versatility and gender fluidity.
The collection looks very modern and wearable, with a monochromatic
black and white and pastels color palette with a few bursts of vibrant
color here and there. The pieces maintain a gender fluid approach with
several menswear influences just like they did with the menswear
collection, were more feminine silhouettes and tailoring techniques were
introduced.
