56th Grammy Awards

The 56th Grammy award gala took place this past Sunday at the staple center, it was a little boring fashion wise, there were not fun fashion risks in the red carpet, musicians went full glam!, and others went… well to the other side…

The colors trend has made its way to the Grammys, most of the ladies wore golden shimmering dresses, red body hugging gowns, blue ensembles or a very glamorous white gown.
Golden Goddess
As much as I “dislike” Taylor Swift, I have to say she looked pretty good in that Gucci golden metallic dress she was by far one of my favorites in this event, but I still “dislike” her very much to say the least. Let’s move on to Sports Illustrated model Christine Teigan, she totally rocked that Johanna Johnson sequin golden strapless gown, she looked stunning!

In my opinion the designer Johanna Johnson made quite the statement this year on the red carpet dressing mayor stars like Christine Teigan and the rocker chick P!nk, who wore one of her designs, a body hugging, asymmetric detailed strapless silky hot red dress, making of this design her first red ensemble for a red carpet event, and she totally nailed it! Along her side country singer Miranda Lambert also rocked the red lines.

Fallen angels
Mayor stars like Beyonce and Katy Perry opted for a white gown; Katy wore a straight of the runway Valentino Couture Gown that made reference to the musical event that was about to take place, a perfect choice for the event, and I must say that dress was totally meant for someone to where at the Grammys ‘cause it made no sense with the rest of the collection, anyhow it was a really great choice she looked great! Plus looks like Katy really liked Valentino’s collection, she changed later after her performance into another, shorter look from Valentios’s latest Couture collection, which was one of my favorites from the couture collection presented in PFW. Beyonce went in a sheer Michael Costello gown, and a new stylish hair do, loved it! And her performance was definitely one of the highlight of the night. Rising hip hop star Iggy Azalea wore an embroidered gown by Elie Saab, and looked amazing in it. The one and only Paris Hilton showed up to the Grammys to everyone’s surprise in a beautiful Haus of Milani sheer gown, now you might her, or love to do so, but she knocked it off the park, she look gorgeous.

Blue
Also at the Grammys, blue continues to be quite the trend from former Disney darling Zendaya who looked pretty stylish in a simple black sheer shirt and a cerulean long skirt very appropriate for her age to Alicia Keys, who wore a revealing Armani Privé gown and an up do, comedian Anna Faris, who was a presenter for the night showed up in a gorgeous Fitriani gown and her classic bangs, and country singer Marina Mcbride in a deep blue David Meister dress.

As for the fellas…
Winners Ryan Lewis and Macklemore, showed up in very stylish non classic suits, Ryan in a metallic patterned suit and Macklemore in a blue velvet one, I must say I looooved both of this looks, and the shoes!! Amazing! (I want those loafers!) John Legend look pretty stylish himself in a very deep blue tuxedo by Gucci, and finally this year’s big winners the “robots” from Daft Punk in Saint Laurent suits, and again the shoes!!
